About Me
About Me
I entered the mortgage industry indirectly through an internship I worked while in college. I first dipped my toes in without really knowing what to expect. I mean, imagine: what exactly does the day-in and day-out of a banker or broker look like? It's not exactly something they're going to make a movie about, except for The Big Short, but I promise your local Loan officer isn't like the characters in the movie. It's a lot of number crunching, a lot of reading, and learning about topics that can sometimes be about as fun as watching paint dry. That being said, it's all worth it to be able to use the tools on the fly to help people achieve what they didn't know was possible. Whether it's making sense of someone trying to add an investment property to their portfolio or helping out that first-time buyer, this industry has graced me with a sense of pride in being able to help people achieve their goals.

Since joining the industry I've made every effort to stay on top of the market and further my education so that I can provide the absolute best level of service and advice to my clients. I've studied, and continue to study, macro econ, finance, credit, and money management. Sometimes these subjects are out of the perview of my work but it enables me to identify when someone needs an expert and I can refer them out accordingly. In my opinion a professional loan officer should understand money, credit, and debt as a tool so as to properly use it in the grander scheme of one's financial goals.

Currently, my family and I are stationed in southern Florida but bounce back and forth between San Diego, CA frequently where Loantown HQ is located. As far as which location I prefer, I'll say they both have their good qualities, but it sure is nice where the beach water is warm.
